- Download the subtitles as an .SRT file.
✅ Part 3: Using Generative AI to Convert Captions into Notes or Blog Content
Generative AI tools like ChatGPT can save time and improve the quality of educational materials by transforming raw captions into clean, structured content. Here’s how:
- Upload the SRT File to an AI platform like ChatGPT or another tool that supports file input.
- Ask the AI to strip timestamps and clean the transcript, correcting grammar and removing filler words for clarity.
- Request a summary or structured outline based on the cleaned transcript:
- For lecture notes: the AI can organize key points, steps, and concepts into bullet lists or headings.
- For blog posts: the AI can rewrite the content into full paragraphs with a title, introduction, and conclusion.
- Use AI to enhance accessibility and style:
- Add learning outcomes, key definitions, or callout boxes.
- Suggest formatting (e.g., Markdown or HTML) for different platforms.
- Ask the AI to create additional materials, such as:
- Quiz questions based on the content.
- Visual ideas for infographics or slides.
- Keywords and metadata for publishing.
By combining SRT caption downloads with AI tools, educators can rapidly create high-quality, inclusive resources that support multiple learning styles.
