Restore Deleted Items in Moodle

OC Moodle keeps a copy of any deleted activities or resources for up to 21 days after deletion.

Moodle 4.1 stores deleted items in the Recycle Bin from where you can restore them.

Option 1: Access the Recycle Bin:

  1. Go to your course where the item was deleted.
  2. In the Course management menu select More.
  3. Click Recycle Bin.
  4. If the deleted item is listed, click Restore next to the item you wish to recover.

Option 2: Use Course Backup:

If the Recycle Bin does not contain the deleted item, it might be recoverable from a Course Backup.
     1. In the course, go to the More menu and select Course reuse section.
     2. Locate a backup file from before the item was deleted. You need to create your own backup of a course.
     3. Follow the steps to restore the backup, making sure to select only the content you want to recover.
