This guide explains how to copy content from a Brightspace Sandbox, Development Shell, or previous course offering into a new course shell.
Watch this walkthrough to learn how to copy content from a Sandbox, Development Shell, or previous Brightspace course into a new course offering.
Begin in the course where you want to copy the content into.
The Import/Export/Copy Components tool allows you to copy content from another Brightspace course.
Use this option when copying from a Sandbox, Development Shell, or previous course offering.
Search for the course that contains the content you want to copy.
Choose the course that you want to copy content from.
Add the selected course as the source course for the copy process.
For most course-to-course imports, use Copy All Components. This copies the full course into the destination course shell.
Copy All Components is recommended for most instructors and semester rollovers.
Use Select Components if you only need specific items such as quizzes, assignments, rubrics, question banks, or individual content modules.
After copying content, review and update course dates for the new semester.
Use filters to focus on the activities that contain dates you need to review.
Manage Dates allows you to quickly update due dates, start dates, and end dates for a copied course.
