Argos X FAQ

What is Argos X?

Argos X is a new web application that allows users to access Argos dashboards and reports directly in a browser. It serves as the updated version of the Argos Web Viewer, redesigned for easier use on mobile devices. Unlike the Web Viewer, which only allows users to view reports, Argos X also enables users to edit reports—provided they have the appropriate permissions.

For those unfamiliar, Argos is a reporting application that has been in use at OC for many years. However, access is granted only to employees who require it for their work.

Do I have to use Argos X?

No, you can continue to use the Web Viewer and/or the desktop application. There will be no changes to the desktop application, but the Web Viewer will eventually be replaced by Argos X. Evisions has not provided a timeline at this time.

What does Argos X mean for Argos users at OC?

There is no impact on Argos users. Argos X is simply an additional offering that is now available to OC Argos users. You will have access to the same reports and dashboards as in the desktop application, with no change to permissions or other functionality.

How do I access Argos X?

If you already have access to Argos, you can access Argos X by clicking on the ‘Argos’ link in myOkanagan and logging in using Single Sign-On. On the next screen, click on ‘Argos X’.

A report I’m trying to access isn’t loading, I just see a blank screen.

Unfortunately, some Argos reports and dashboards don’t work in Argos X yet (as of April 2025) due to issues with date formatting. This mostly affects reports with date entry fields. Please use the Argos desktop app (blue ‘Argos’ button to the left of the purple Argos X selection) to run those reports.

Is any training available?

The application is designed to be intuitive to use, and the need for training is not anticipated. For a quick overview, please see the video at the top of the evisions' webpage found here. For specific questions or problems, please contact IT Services by submitting a Service Request.

Where can I get more information?

There is more information on the evisions website (e.g. in this recorded webinar). You can also sign up to the evisions community which is a great resource
