1. Prepare to Import a Course
- Identify the course you want to import from and the new course shell you will import into.
- Copy the full name of the course you want to import from. This makes it easier to search for later.
2. Access Your New Course
- Navigate to the Dashboard in Moodle.
- Locate the new course shell. If the course isn’t under your In-Progress or Starred courses, check the Futuresection for upcoming courses.
- Open the new course shell.
3. Start the Import Process
- In the new course, go to the More menu (usually in the top navigation bar).
- Select Course Reuse from the dropdown menu.
4. Select Import Options
- On the Course Reuse page, choose the Import option (this is usually selected by default).
- Search for the course you want to import from by pasting the course name you copied earlier.
- Select the course from the search results.
5. Choose Content to Import
- Review the list of content available for import:
- If you want everything, select all content.
- If you need specific items (e.g., a quiz or a resource), uncheck unnecessary content.
- Click Next to proceed.
6. Review and Perform the Import
- Double-check the selected content to ensure you’re importing the correct materials.
- Click Perform Import to start the process.
- If the process seems slow, be patient and keep the page open until the import completes.
7. Verify Import Completion

- Turn on Edit Mode in the new course.

- Go to the Reports panel.

- For restricted access settings:

- Update the Restrict Access settings as needed.
