Adobe Acrobat — Work vs. Personal Account

How to fix Adobe Acrobat prompting for a trial license instead of your OC-assigned license.

Tags: Acrobat

By the end of this guide you'll know how to

✓ Understand why Adobe is asking you to sign up for a trial

✓ Switch profile selection from automatic to manual

✓ Sign back in and select your OC Business profile

✓ Access your OC-assigned Adobe Acrobat license

Why is this happening?

Adobe has created two profiles for your @okanagan.bc.ca email address — one personal and one work. When Adobe automatically selects the wrong profile, it prompts you for a trial license instead of showing your OC-assigned license. The fix is to switch profile selection to manual.

1 Log In to Your Adobe Account

Go to account.adobe.com and sign in using your @okanagan.bc.ca email address.

2 Select Account and Security

Once logged in, navigate to Account and Security in your Adobe account settings.

3 Turn Off Automatic Profile Selection

Find and turn off the Select my profile automatically toggle.

4 Sign Out of Adobe Everywhere

Sign out of Adobe on all of the following:

  • All browsers
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Any other Adobe applications
5 Sign Back In and Select Your Business Profile

When you sign back in to Adobe, you will be prompted to choose a profile:

  • Select Business to access all active licenses assigned by Okanagan College
  • Do not select Personal — this will show the trial license
