1 Connect Your Laptop

A monitor and dock should be at the instructor's classroom workstation.

  1. Locate the USB-C cable connected to the dock at the workstation
  2. Plug the USB-C cable into your laptop
  3. Your laptop should now be connected to the monitor, dock, and Meeting Owl device

2 Set Up Your Displays
  1. Go to SettingsSystemDisplay
  2. You should see 3 displays: Laptop Screen, Monitor, and Projector
  3. Select Identify to display numbers on each screen so you know which is which
  4. Choose your preferred display mode below, then click Apply
Mode What it does
Extend Treats all screens as one large desktop — move windows freely between displays
Duplicate Shows the same image on all duplicated screens
Identify Displays a number on each screen so you know which is which
Rearrange Drag and drop screen icons to match their physical position so your mouse moves correctly between them
Tip: Use the Monitor as a confidence monitor — display your slide notes or Presenter View so you can face the students while presenting.
3 Download the Meeting Owl App

The Meeting Owl App is used to set up, control, and manage your Meeting Owl device.

  1. Open Company Portal on your laptop
  2. Search for Meeting Owl
  3. Click Install

Search for "Meeting Owl" in Company Portal and select Install

4 Configure Zoom or Teams to Use the Meeting Owl

Zoom:

  1. Start or join a meeting in Zoom
  2. Go to Audio Settings and select Meeting Owl 3 as your microphone and speaker
  3. Go to Video Settings and select Meeting Owl Camera

Microsoft Teams:

  1. Go to SettingsDevices
  2. Set Speaker to Meeting Owl 3
  3. Set Microphone to Meeting Owl 3
  4. Set Camera to Meeting Owl Camera

5 Adjust the Meeting Owl During a Session
  1. Start your meeting in Zoom or Teams
  2. Open the Meeting Owl App on your laptop
  3. Adjust the camera position, zoom, and device settings as needed
  4. View your changes live in your meeting application
