Cannot Grade "In Progress" Quizzes or Exams

Fix issues when quiz attempts are marked as "In Progress" so that they can be graded.

If you have In Progress quizzes or exams that have not been submitted then you will not be able to grade them until those attempts are marked Finished.

Fix quizzes or exams that are complete

• Email students and ask them to return to the quiz page. They will not be able to access the quiz but simply by loading that page it will close their attempt.

Fix future quizzes or exams

• For future quizzes make sure you set the opening and closing date for the quiz as well as a time.
• Then select Open attempts are submitted automatically from the When time expires drop down menu.
